SPEED

5.       before turns and road bends;

Road bends may have an advisory speed sign displaying recommended speed safe for this particular bend; however, if this advisory sign is followed by a “Reduce Speed Now” sign, treat the signposted speed limit as mandatory, otherwise you won’t negotiate the corner.

Brake firmly on the straight section of the road before a bend and brake as lightly as possible in the bend, because your car will remain more stable when braking is done in a straight line; remember that firm braking combined with sharp steering almost always causes skidding.

Exiting the turn, accelerate to facilitate traffic.
